You do not like to smile???

Then, you should read this.This is something I posted years ago in a very old blog of mine and I recently stumbled upon it.

TITLE: Smile

Smile!

It costs nothing but creates much.

It enriches those who receives it

without impoverishing those who give it.

It happens in a flash,

and the memory of it sometimes lasts forever.

None are so rich they can get along without it,

and none are so poor but are richer for its benefits.

It creates happinessin the home,

fosters goodwill in business,

and is the countersign of friends.

It is rest to the weary, daylight to the discouraged,

sunshine to the sad, and nature's best antidote for trouble.

Yet it cannot be bought, begged, borrowed or stolen,

for it is something that is no earthly good to anyone until it is given away!

And if you should meet someone too tired or sick or depressed to give you a smile,

make sure you leave them one of yours.

For no one needs a smile so much as those who have none left to give.

A smile is always welcomed

for it opens doors and hearts as if it were a key.

Think back to those times when you're down. Was there a person who came up and smiled? Cheered you up? Did that create an impression on you?

Smiles are free but they are priceless. So just smile and you might just brighten up someone's day!

Cubicle Toys... Aha..!

For the past week, I have been searching for things to relieve my stress or in a way, help me find solutions for the programs I have been doing. In the end, this little fella (My little Yellow) ended up as my victim. Poor guy.. He was squeezed , dragged and punched by my colleagues too.. [office violence]

So I went looking for cubicle toys and I came upon some *ahem* cool stuff. Seriously..

So if you're bored and looking forward to doing some damage around the office,this is one of the toys for you. Introducing the USB wireless rocket launcher!

Seems cool right? They have additional ammo that you can purchase.There are various other rocket launchers such as the USB webcam rocket launcher. If you want something that is harmless , you can check out the plush gun and grenade.(the concept seems funny.. haha)

My sudden craze..

Introducing my sudden craze in.... WEB DESIGN!!

Ever since I have been introduced to PHP and css by my mentor, I have been searching around the WWW for interesting blogs, blogs with designs that blow my mind away and also blogs that teach me more about web designs and layouts. Here are a few websites that I find interesting and is worth the time to check out... You can click on the pictures to go to the websites. These are the websites you would not want to miss...

A List Apart
This website gives you the information you'll need to learn and explore explores the design, development, and meaning of web content. There are many different and experienced web designers that actually chip in their articles.


Cheth Studios
This is a blog which proves that Blogger blogs can look real good. There are many more cool stuff in here.


Zen Garden
Those who do not know the greatness and beauty of css can have a look at Zen Garden. The concept is really simple. Same documents , different layouts, one css file. For those who really want to learn about css, you can check out all the designs they have and check out how they coded it.


The following three websites are basically flash websites but I find their concepts to be really nice. Take for example, the StarbucksCoffeeAtHome website, the way they played with the colours are just awesome and GotMilk's is just cute and interactive.



As for BrownBagFilms, their website is very in tuned to the work that they are promoting. They also have a blog that you can check out.

If you're interested in nicer websites, you can check out DesignBombs. They showcase the some of the nicest websites.


This roughly sums up the post. There will be more from me as I attempt to learn more about web designs and indulging myself in this craze.

1 Hati , 1 Malaysia

It is the month of Merdeka and the hype about 1 Malaysia is going around. So I set out on a task to design a heart shaped cardboard with the theme "1 Hati, 1 Malaysia". I am actually helping someone with this tiny project and we got it done within three and a half hours? Not bad actually considering the fact that I only had huge -tip markers to work with.


This is the overall view while the bottom picture is the close-up. My apologies for the distorted pictures. It was taken with very bad lighting..


So it is the month for us to be united and be grateful that we live in a peaceful country..Happy Merdeka!
